RESIDENTIAL LIVING OBJECTIVES
By completing these requirements, students will be meeting the following objectives:
- Cultivate skills that enhance personal well-being, such as: responsible decision-making, interpersonal skills, critical thinking and problem solving, stress management, ability to cope successfully with peer pressure and media messages
- Select leisure activities which promote and enhance wellness
- Understand and practice self-care plans and health skills, including: good nutrition, safety and first aid, and avoidance of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs
- Communicate directly and honestly with others
- Have ability to state personal needs
- Have ability to form and sustain healthy relationships
- Understand personal economics and have the ability to manage money
