Community School Auction November 12
The Community School’s 30th annual auction is coming right up on November 12, and as long-time auction goers know, this event offers good fun, good food and great deals on everything from luxury vacations to practical household items.
In honor of the 30th anniversary of the event, this year’s auction will be held at the Rockport Opera House, and catered by Brevetto Kitchen & Wine Bar. As always, Bruce Gamage will serve as auctioneer extraordinaire.
The auction offers a great chance to get an early start on holiday shopping while supporting a good cause. Some of this year’s items include overnight and weekend get-always, art work, handmade jewelry, restaurant gift certificates, ski lift tickets, schooner tours, and even a cord of wood delivered to your home. Attendees will have the chance to bid on YMCA memberships, chamber concert tickets, a ride on the DownEaster, an overnight on Monhegan Island and more.
The silent auction will begin at 5:30, followed by the live auction. Tickets are $25.00 and all proceeds raised will support tuition assistance and scholarship funds for Community School students. For more information, call 236-3000.
